Statement of Commitment to Indigenous people and communities

Water Corporation’s Indigenous Engagement Strategy is a major initiative to further develop and improve our relationships with the Indigenous people throughout Western Australia.

Water Corporation acknowledges Indigenous people as the first Australians and has a dedicated Statement of Commitment to guide its management of Indigenous issues as an integral part of business success.

We are committed to building long term sustainable relationships based on mutual respect and trust.

The Water Corporation through its Indigenous Resources Section has formed strong relationships with the Indigenous communities and implemented programs particularly in heritage, native title and employment and training.   The Statement of Commitment is strongly endorsed by the Executive and all employees will participate in some way.
