The Water Corporation has commenced planning for an upgrade of the Walpole Wastewater treatment plant and the management and use of treated wastewater
The Walpole Wastewater Treatment plant was constructed in the late 1990’s to treat domestic wastewater resulting from the Infill Project within the Walpole town and the Boronia Ridge Development.
Since the Infill Project, growth in and around Walpole, along with the rest of the South West region has increased dramatically and the demand for wastewater services has followed suit.
To keep ahead of growth the Water Corporation has commenced planning an upgrade of the Walpole Wastewater Treatment Plant – working with the Shire, other government departments and the Walpole community to ensure the upgraded wastewater system will provide safe and effective management of wastewater for the next 30 years.
