Note: From 02 July 2007 the increase in the Water Corporation's dam storage is the result of available water traded from Harvey Water in the Stirling and Samson Dams.

The graph above shows the total volume of water stored in the dams supplying water to the Integrated Water Supply System (Perth, Mandurah, Pinjarra, Harvey and the Goldfields and Agricultural regions). These dams include Canning, Serpentine, Serpentine Pipehead, Victoria, Mundaring Weir, South Dandulup, North Dandalup, Wungong, Stirling and Churchman's Brook. Mundaring Weir normally only supplies water to the Goldfields and Agricultural regions.

Current Storage: 199.14 gigalitres (GL) Total Capacity: 622 GL Percentage of Total Capacity: 32.0 % Available Surface Water: 89.1 GL
Potential full capacity has been reduced by 54 GL in 2007/08 due to:
a. A decrease in South Dandalup Dam of 67 GL for streamflow and safety reasons; and,
b. The inclusion of a minimum of 13 GL from water trading with Harvey Water.

The average volume of water used in the 2005/2006 financial year by each residential water service in Perth was 254 kilolitres (kL).
